Providence Saint John’s Health Center

I just finished my visit to the outstanding Irene Dunne Guild NICU at Providence Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, CA. Prior to meeting the NICU staff to deliver my Team Preemie Packet donations, I had the pleasure of speaking with a nice gentleman at the security desk. He was curious about my Preemie Packets, so we chatted briefly about their purpose. He thought it was “so cool” and then he reminded me to “always be thankful for your mom because moms are the best.” Of course, I 100% agree with that!

In addition to moms, I know it takes a village to support preemies. So, I want to give a shout out to dads, siblings, and relatives too. It was great to hear how much this NICU values family-centered care and communications so that the entire family can be involved for caring for their newborn preemie.
